What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equine Office Coordinator - Part time position at Running 'S' Equine Veterinary Services?
Running ‘S’ Equine Veterinary Services is an ambulatory and hospital practice seeking a part-time (8am-1pm) Equine Office Coordinator.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Answering the phone; being the first line of communication between veterinarian and client
- Scheduling appointments; taking an appropriate history to ask to help the veterinarian prepare for the appointment
- Time communicate with the client if the veterinarian is early/late for an appointment
- Emailing clients coggins, vaccination certificates, invoices, medical records, etc
- Confirming with veterinarians that they receive lab results; scanning lab results into the horse’s medical record
- Mailing out bills/statements at the end of the billing cycle
- Charging credit cards and posting payments to accounts
- Helping veterinary technicians with filling prescriptions/retrieving medications
- Assisting veterinarians with insurance claims
- Support veterinarians with typing up reports of all kinds
- Completing import/export paperwork
- Filing hard copies of records/admission charts/insurance claims
- Checking in patients for the in clinic appointments with Dr. Staller
- Prepare Pre-Purchase paperwork prior to the veterinarian’s appointment
- Continually updating Facebook posts on the Running ‘S’ Equine Veterinary Services page
- Assist the Practice Manager and Owner with other tasks related to the facilities daily operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
