About the Role
- RCHDC seeks a Maintenance Technician who will maintain buildings and grounds in good condition at all times. This includes ensuring that buildings and grounds are kept in a manner that creates a healthy and safe physical environment, maximizes the useful life of all property, and adheres to preventative maintenance schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly, and quarterly routine inspections and replacements as per the established maintenance schedule.
- Accurately record all required tasks on the maintenance schedule and provide it to the Project Manager on a monthly basis.
- Order maintenance supplies.
- Prepare units for occupancy by cleaning, disinfecting, painting, patching, replacing windows, doors, door locks, and lights.
- Maintain walkways and parking areas free of debris.
- Oversee lawn/garden area and sprinkler system maintenance as instructed.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Report health and safety hazards, injuries, and accidents to the proper authorities and Property Manager/Maintenance Manager promptly.
- Execute rehabilitation plans.
- Maintain property according to health and safety standards.
- Maintain work order log and repair/reports filing system.
- Maintain a repairs/replacement file on the project and each unit.
- Solicit bids for necessary work as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in routine repair and maintenance of buildings, landscaping, and appliances.
- Excellent organizational, recording, and time management skills.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks.
- Ability to understand repair and maintenance instructions.
- Building trades experience is a plus.
- Organizational, prioritization, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Possession of a valid California driver's license, good driving record, automobile insurance, reliable transportation, and willingness to use own vehicle for job purposes.
Pay and Benefits:
- $19.00 - $24.50 per hour.
