Essential Functions:
- Processing transactions and other portfolio management items related to business loans, by directly interfacing with third party vendors, including credit underwriting, refinancing, modifications, deferrals, refinancing, and other business loan related items.
- Monitoring and managing the processing of upcoming maturities and expiring collateral and loan documents.
- Reviewing and handling items on documentation exception reports.
- Assist third party vendors releasing collateral on paid off loans.
- Orders and reviews UCC lien searches.
- Track insurance coverage(s) applicable to the underlying collateral for UCC and real estate secured loans.
- Review documents and reports to assist Supervisors or Managers with the management of the business loan portfolio(s).
- Ensure adherence to Rural Center Collections Protocols Manual. Recommend and update manual as needed.
- Directly interface and monitor third party vendors engaged with the Rural Center collection process.
- Ensure reporting requirements of the Rural Center collection process is adhered to and submitted on a timely basis.
- Assist and support internal audit and loan reconciliation of NC Rapid Recovery loan portfolio.
- Provide grant and compliance oversight, and develop processes for documenting grant information and reporting activities, including documentation for compliance thereof and audit of such programs.
- Complete and ensure accuracy of loan charge-off packages and monitor throughout the collection process.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
- Two to three years work experience in CDFI or financial services environment preferred
- Strong computer skills relevant to loan origination and servicing lending platforms, and Microsoft Office Suites (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making/problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and research skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
- Effective verbal and written skills. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
