Job Description
Trinity Housing Development, Rural Housing Developers and its affiliates form a group of entities mainly focusing on rehabilitation projects in low-income housing. We are looking for an experienced paralegal to support the development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing and organizing the corporate records for multiple entities owned by the principals. In addition, they will assist other members of the team to support project closings and asset management related to the low-income housing industry. This individual will join a team with decades of experience in real estate development and ownership of multi-family housing.
CHARACTERISTICs/REQUIREMENTS
Confidentiality and organizational skills are key characteristics for the position of Corporate and Real Estate Paralegal. Excellent communications skills are essential due to interactions with executives, accountants, co-workers, subcontractors, vendors, investors and lender representatives. A willingness to learn new processes and systems is extremely beneficial. This position requires the ability to handle several projects and/or tasks concurrently and transition between each one, occasionally, on short notice.
SUPERVISION
Receives immediate supervision from the General Counsel and COO. Will report directly to the Principals and the CFO on specific special projects.

Other Functions
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to maintain confidential data
- Drafting of structure charts for corporate, syndication and development projects
- Conducting research and distributing real estate documents
- Review of title insurance policies, settlement statements, surveys, and legal invoices
- Filing of corporate documents, periodic reports, CTA reporting, and drafting of corporate documents
- HUD apps and SAMs.gov
- Maintains legal entity upkeep for hundreds of entities in multiple states
- Coordinating and assembling various packages due to state agencies
- Responsible for support related to litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints
- Updating existing REO and Contingent liability schedules under supervision of COO and CFO
- Tracking insurance and insurance certificates.
- Drafting letters and other documents as assigned
- Printing and preparing documents for signature
- Helping with other special projects, reports, and duties as assigned
- Obtaining and relaying information among parties involved in various projects
- Maintaining record keeping and filing systems
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management
- 3 years of experience, and a paralegal certification; or 5 or more years of experience in a legal environment
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office
- Technically proficient in Excel
- Basic understanding of basic real estate principles
- Basic understanding of corporate law
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
