Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Account Executive to join our growing Ad Sales team. Reporting to the EVP of Ad Sales, this role is ideal for a driven and motivated media professional eager to develop their expertise in Linear, OTT, and Digital advertising sales. The Junior AE will assist in generating revenue through direct sales, partnerships, and collaboration with internal teams to develop and execute cross-platform advertising solutions.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, develop key relationships with national and regional brands, and play an integral part in RMG’s mission to support rural America.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of advertising sales strategies across Linear TV, OTT, and Digital platforms.
- Support senior account executives in building and managing relationships with advertising agencies, national, and regional brands.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Planning, and Account Services teams to develop advertising solutions that align with client objectives.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing future campaigns.
- Actively prospect and generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to represent RMG and expand brand partnerships.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales performance.
- Participate in sales training and professional development to enhance industry knowledge and selling skills.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1-3 years of media sales, advertising, or marketing experience (internship experience considered).
- Strong interest in advertising, media sales, and digital marketing.
- Passion for agriculture, rural America, and Western lifestyle industries.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset—self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and grow.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), digital marketing tools, and media analytics is a plus.
- Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
