What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Maintenance and Grounds position at Rush City Schools?
Rush City Schools has an immediate need for a full-time seasonal (April thru October) grounds and maintenance position.
Typical hours are 8:00-4:30 M-F, with the flexibility to work adjusted hours and days based on the needs of the grounds, buildings or weather.
Compensation: $16.11 to $22.76 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Learn more about the compensation and benefits here.
Primary duties include:
- Assisting with mowing school grounds.
- Trimming along fence lines, signs, and curbs.
- Spraying lawns and sidewalks for weeds.
- Assist with field setup for games.
- Assisting with trimming trees.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the grounds and trash receptacles.
- Assisting with upkeep of the pavement and concrete.
- Assisting daily custodial duties at the recreational/aquatic center and bus garage.
- Other duties as assigned to support the custodial, building and grounds team.
