Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in data entry, preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate patient records. This role is essential in maintaining efficient pharmacy operations and delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Enter and verify prescription and patient information in the pharmacy system.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Label and package prescriptions in accordance with legal and safety requirements.
- Perform quality checks to ensure prescription accuracy and completeness.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phones, resolving patient inquiries, and coordinating refills.
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Support a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; pharmacy technician certification preferred (CPhT).
- Previous compounding experience preferred but not required (training provided for the right candidate).
- Familiarity with USP <795> <797> and <800> standards is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
