Pay Range : 41.44 - 67.44

Summary :
The Manager of Patient Education oversees the development, production, and implementation of patient education content, leveraging technology across the entire continuum of care for Rush University Medical Center and, as appropriate, the Rush University System for Health. Builds organizational awareness of the consequences of limited health literacy, including the financial implications of limited health literacy and the health literacy interventions designed to address it. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Required Job Qualifications :
- Master's degree in a health-related field
- 5 years of experience in health care and / or health education
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office
- Some familiarity with medical taxonomies and codes (ICD-10)
- Independent, self-motivated, and assertive
- Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects in efficient and cost-effective ways
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization
- Leadership skills with a broad vision of the future of patient education & health literacy across the Rush system
- Exceptionally strong editing and communications skills
- Experience delivering educational content using multiple modalities (online, print, digital, video)
- Experience with design and typesetting, and print production
