Introduction
The Deputy Registrar supports the Director to fully administer and direct all activities for local, State, and Federal Elections. The Deputy serves as an election administrator and under the supervision of the Director, monitors work processes and procedures for compliance with State and Federal Laws.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To ensure qualification, Deputy must attend all training, some requires overnight travel.
- Review and maintain processes and record IT security standards.
- Via the Elections & Registration System, access and maintain voter registration records.
- Monitor the state-system for redistricting activities and street directory changes.
- Coordinate and maintain activities related to absentee voting.
- Using state-certified software and hardware, design and deploy electronic pollbooks.
- Create manuals and guides for the electronic pollbook to be used by Election Officers.
- Engage with the public and assist with registration, voting, transfers, and cancellations.
- Procure and manage materials and supplies.
- Monitor the preparation, packing, and return of all election materials and supplies.
- Manage and design the office's official social media accounts and posts.
Job Requirements
Successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and deploying the electronic pollbook system. They will play a critical role in maintaining the processes and documentation of the office's security standards.
Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office and daily office tasks. Organization, accuracy, and attention to detail are important. Flexible schedule including long days and weekends are required during elections.
