What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Emergency Dept. (As Needed/PRN) position at Russell Medical?
Provides technical nursing care through treatment and education of patients in accordance with Registered Nurse and physicians’ treatment plan. Emergency Dept.: 12 bed ED, with 2 trauma rooms. Physician in ED at all times. APP in ED daily from 10a-10p. Average 4:1 nurse to patient ratio. Level 3 Trauma Center. Stroke Ready Center. EDUCATION: Completion of accredited LPN program of 13 to 24 months. EXPERIENCE:
None required. New grads welcome. LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Licensed Practical Nurse. BLS within 90 days of hire required EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Office machines, computer terminals, patient therapeutic cquipment, pyxis machine. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of appropriate patient population, growth and development.
