Primary Function: Responsibilities of this administrative position includes event planning for large and small-scale events, leading student tour guides and student workers, managing daily visit and office coverage, in addition, traditional admissions skills like application evaluation, meeting families, and collaborating with community members. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding and appreciation of a multi-faceted comprehensive institution.
Position Summary: The primary focus of this position is creating, planning and executing meaningful visits to enroll a large, highly-qualified and diverse new student group each year. In addition to visits, this person would build a strong current student recruitment arm and involve community members in the recruitment process. The individual in this position will work within a dynamic, collaborative enrollment management environment and be an integral part of the enrollment team.
Fall/Spring Supervisory / Management Responsibility:
Management and Coordination of student workers and the campus tour guide program
- Supervise the daily performance of the student ambassador in conjunction with the appropriate member of the admissions staff
- Create and maintain a student ambassador schedule
- Facilitate current student drop-in events and group visits
- Oversee student ambassador activity on ZeeMee and other social media platforms
- Plan and deliver monthly training for all student ambassadors
- Work with Enrollment Management Graduate Assistants to ensure training for completing phone calls, campus tours and desk coverage is completed and the quality is at the highest level
Recruitment:
- Plan, design and execute in all facets of campus recruitment programs with admissions and community members
- Extensive follow-up with prospects to increase attendance and yield from visit programs
- Schedule daily events and aid the admissions team and students for office visit coverage
- Work as a team player along with other Admissions officers to develop and implement new strategies to attract applicants
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to maximize the visits as part of the admissions process
- Arrange for faculty interviews, campus tours, and additional reasonable requests
- Time commitment: days, evenings, select Saturday mornings, weekends (as necessary)
- Additional recruitment duties: attendance at College day/night events, High School visits, Special presentations and workshops
- Participate in the folder reading process to support overall new and transfer admissions
- Budget document processing for events and admissions office
Marketing:
- Assist with all Project Management for the communication department - Helping to meet deadlines, communicating with vendors, coordinating web design and social edits, etc
- Coordinating all undergraduate visit related communications
- Helping oversee team budget for events and swag distribution
- Analyzing visit data & ensuring visit numbers are being updated regularly and communicated to as needed
The estimated salary is $60,405.80 per year for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and must be self-directed, team oriented and capable of working toward individual and common institutional goals. Interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of accomplishment and orientation toward consumer satisfaction. In addition, the successful candidate will have a high energy level, and possess a high level of computer literacy and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Valid Drivers' License is required
- Preferred previous job or internship experience in a similar role such as marketing, sales, customer relationship management, or member services.
- Ability to use software applications including databases to track information and produce reports. Knowledge of student information systems or CRM system is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
