Overview :
The Sr / Principal Software Test Engineer will manage and perform the software verification activities of medical products throughout the development and maintenance lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong verification lead experience..
Educational Requirements :
Minimum Education :
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience :
Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience testing medical device systems.
Skills / Experience :
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following :
Lead software verification activities for a complex medical imaging system.
Lead anomaly reviews and track disposition.
Write test plans, write, and execute test protocols and report bugs found during testing.
Participate in hardware integration testing activities.
Work closely with engineering to help them understand the issues found.
Write automated tests and software utilities to help with software verification activities.
Validate non-product software.
Participates in product design documentation reviews for safety, consistency, traceability, and compliance to regulations.
Participates in product reviews to ensure consistency, correctness, and testability of requirements.
Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining result.
Qualities :
Must be flexible, highly organized, and have a passion for testing.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be detail oriented.
High integrity, tremendous work ethic, and the passion to succeed.
Must have good understanding of medical device standards (21 CFR Part 820.30, IEC 62304, ISO 14971)
Experience with test automation is desirable.
Working experience with Jama is desirable.
Working experience with Atlassian tools desirable.
Working experience with Python, C, C , Linux is desirable.
Experience with complex medical imaging products is desirable.
