Job description
RTCS, LLC is looking for a qualified accountant who will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a small company environment.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Balance company books and perform regular reconciliations.
- Invoice customers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain compliance with defense contracting accounting standards.
- Manage and run payroll Bi-Weekly for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support tax filings and ensure timely submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Perform AP/AR functions for the Company.
- Handle general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process.
- Stay updated with current accounting standards and regulations.
- Support proposal efforts on cost estimates, pricing, and negotiations.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Time and Payroll and Workforce Suite of Tools
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a small company setting.
- Five years’ minimum experience with defense contracting accounting compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable and able to meet invoicing and filing deadlines
Desired Qualifications:
- CPA or other relevant certification
- 10 years of accounting experience within defense industry
- Cost Account Manager experience within defense industry
RTCS, LLC is a small business founded in 2021 supporting Government and commercial development activities in prototype system design, ground test and evaluation, manufacturing and assembly, and flight test demonstration. These activities include the identification and maturation of hypersonic technologies such as thermal protection systems, seekers, propulsion systems, ground support equipment, mitigation of environmental extremes, and instrumentation. RTCS, LLC conducts system development from concept to flight test demonstration integrating modeling and simulation and test and evaluation to support development of system engineering solutions.
