Fraud Analyst

Hourly Pay: $21 to $26 W2

Duration: 06 Months Contract

Summary:

The position is for an External Fraud Investigator at an American multinational financial services firm. The role involves investigating various fraud typologies and conducting transaction analysis to identify fraudulent activities. Investigators will file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and maintain detailed case notes through a case management system. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, and while banking experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate various fraud typologies such as external fraud and technology-related fraud, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform thorough account transaction analysis to identify suspicious or fraudulent activity.
• File Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) based on investigative findings.
• Maintain accurate and thorough case notes in chronological order via a case management system.
• Report investigative findings to the appropriate Fraud Investigations team member with recommendations for SAR or no SAR determination.
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education on topics like compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act regulations.

Qualifications and Must Haves:

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Banking experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to work onsite with potential for hybrid work later in the contract.
• Candidates must be available for training and have no absences during the training period.
