Location: Greenville, SC (Candidates should be located within 30-60 miles of Greenville, Columbia, Hickory, Charlotte, or Greensboro)
Base Salary: 90-100k DOE
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will oversee HR operations in a regional capacity, focusing on employee relations, compliance, and recruiting for a trucking company with 50 commercial drivers. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transportation industry and a strong understanding of HR best practices within asset-based trucking companies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee onboarding and compliance programs for commercial drivers.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, progressive discipline, and problem resolution.
- Foster a culture aligned with company values and service excellence.
- Monitor and address labor relations issues, enhancing management-employee interaction.
- Recruit, interview, and collaborate with the Service Center Manager to fill open positions.
- Manage the employee onboarding and orientation process, including training sessions.
- Address employee inquiries regarding benefits, pay, and time-off policies.
- Ensure adherence to FMLA/Disability processes in coordination with corporate HR.
- Implement and manage HR programs related to benefits, leave, and compensation.
- Develop and conduct employee and leadership training sessions.
Requirements:
- Experience in human resources within an asset-based trucking company (No 3PLs).
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor relations, and compliance.
- Ability to manage recruitment and onboarding for commercial drivers.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field.
