The Human Resources Manager plays a key role in ensuring that our manufacturing client remains a compliant, safe, and inclusive workplace while supporting our employees' overall satisfaction and growth. Responsibilities:
Compliance & Safety:
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Oversee OSHA reporting and maintain safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits and support the creation and maintenance of workplace safety programs.
Training & Development:
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs to meet compliance, safety, and development requirements.
- Track employee training completion to ensure compliance and identify areas for growth and improvement.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations concerns, providing guidance and resolution in alignment with company policies.
- Build strong relationships with employees at all levels, fostering trust and open communication.
- Navigate complex or emotionally charged situations with professionalism, confidence, and tact.
Recruitment:
- Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, and onboarding new hires to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
- Partner with hiring managers to attract top talent and ensure a fair and inclusive hiring process.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HR reporting and analytics.
- Support payroll, benefits, and performance management processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in HR or a related role.
- Gusto experience preferred
- Independent, self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extroverted and approachable, with the ability to foster positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Resilient and thick-skinned, able to handle challenging conversations and situations confidently and professionally.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including OSHA requirements.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
