We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with a 2-year degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will work primarily on projects involving structural steel, sheet metal, hydraulics, and pneumatics. This role requires creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to support manufacturing and product development.
This is a contract-to-hire role (anticipated to convert to permanent around the 4-6 month mark).
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, focusing on structural steel, sheet metal, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Create detailed 3D models, part drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks and / or Autodesk Inventor.
- Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet specifications and are optimized for production.
- Conduct design reviews and make necessary revisions based on feedback.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company requirements.
