What are the responsibilities and job description for the Noise Engineer position at Russell Tobin?
We are seeking a Noise & Vibration E-noise Engineer to play a critical role in designing, validating, and improving our noise and vibration systems. This role involves authoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test plans, and specifications for low-level noise assessments, as well as quantifying noises, facilitating user studies, and establishing thresholds in lab and factory environments. You will collaborate across multi-functional teams to implement proven methodologies and lead studies to discover new best practices. Your work will include analyzing validation data to uncover root causes of issues and working closely with international partner facilities.
This is slated as a 1-year contract with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Develop SOPs, test plans, and specifications for low-level noise analysis.
- Quantify noise levels and facilitate user studies to establish thresholds in controlled environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share best practices and standards.
- Lead validation work and analyze results to identify root causes of issues.
- Partner with international facilities to support testing and implementation efforts.
