Senior Accountant – On-Site in Stamford, CT
Salary Range: $90,000 - 110,000
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, results-driven Senior Accountant to support corporate financial operations. This role will involve both complex and routine accounting activities, driving process improvements, ensuring proper accounting for corporate transactions, and maintaining strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare journal entries, invoices, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording and payment of bills and expenses.
- Analyze financial results and collaborate with the Controller and CFO to ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance standards.
- Partner with business stakeholders and support external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Hyperion Financial Management, JD Edwards, or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
