Legend Brands is hiring a Warehouse Operations Manager for our Nashville TN Distribution center. The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing efficient operations and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. They will lead a team of warehouse staff, manage inventory, oversee shipping and receiving, and enforce company policies and procedures. This position requires a strong leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Job Requirements:
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate warehouse staff, including supervisors, team leaders, and warehouse associates, to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control procedures, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, to maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure accuracy, integrity, and safety of warehouse operations. Oversee the shipment of goods, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for warehouse staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Facility Management: Ensure equipment and facility are properly maintained, repaired, and operating. Oversee and coordinate with outside vendors for maintenance and repairs.
- Communication: Collaborate with various departments, such as education, service, production, purchasing and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and flow of operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping, or logistics with 5 years of experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, Transportation Management System (TMS), ERP (D365) and/or shipping software (UPS, FedEx) is preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various temperature conditions within the warehouse.
- Ability to support floor operation on a forklift when required.
Hiring Range:
Between $80,000 to $94,000/annually
