Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Overview:
Ruston Regional Specialty/Rehabilitation Hospital is looking for a dynamic and compassionate PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at our long term acute care/rehabilitation facility. The ideal candidate will be an integral team player with experience in ensuring quality patient care is being delivered in adults (18-65 years of age) and geriatrics (65 and older).
Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Support patients during therapy sessions and exercises.
- Set up equipment and ensure treatment areas are clean and organized.
- Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising physical therapist.
- Provide assistance to patients with mobility challenges.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress.
Qualifications:
-Two years experience in an acute care, LTACH or rehabilitation setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
-Current Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the State of Louisiana is required.
-Current BLS certification is required.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
