Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the espresso machine and other café equipment efficiently while adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and operating the POS system, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment, to provide a welcoming environment for customers.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while providing excellent service.
Skills
- Strong math skills for cash handling and basic math calculations related to order processing.
- Experience with POS systems; familiarity with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in beverage preparation.
- A passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn more about different brewing methods and beverage offerings.
