*Job Summary*
RDI is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to assist our Payroll and Human Resources Departments. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, working 9-hour shifts Mondays through Thursdays, and 4-hour shifts on Fridays. Time will be spent working in both departments, with payroll being most of the focus. Work will take place in our Sierra Vista main business office while interacting with our yards, shops, and other sites of work.
*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
- General office duties such as answering phone calls, sorting documents, filing, making copies, scanning documents, and data entry
- Enter and process multi-state and certified payroll weekly for 100 employees
- Create and file certified payroll reports
- File payroll tax reports and make payments, including worker’s compensation
- Create payroll corrections and adjustments as needed
- Onboard new hires with appropriate federal and state forms
- Process new hires through E-Verify and document
- Process terminations with thorough documentation
- Maintain federal and state reporting requirements
- Assist with benefits administration including billing
- Maintain and create employment records
*Requirements:*
- Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes, including time entry, payroll tax calculations, and labor laws
- Knowledge and understanding of HR functions, application of federal and state laws and regulations, and ability to research when necessary
- Working knowledge of office machines and phone systems
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Outlook, and OneDrive
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently when needed and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Must complete tasks with accuracy and attention to detail

- Understanding of certified payroll processes
- Understanding or experience with cost accounting and payroll interaction
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with Driver Qualification files

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
