Rutland City Public Schools seeks an experienced administrator to provide administrative leadership for the Rutland Intermediate School. The school includes approximately 550 students in grades 3-6 and roughly 100 staff members.
Rutland Intermediate School is a learning community in a mode of constant improvement seeking to maximize data and formative information to drive instruction, professional development, and collaboration. A learning leader who can facilitate and focus the efforts of motivated and professional educators will be the successful candidate. Professional initiatives include: Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Trauma Informed Practices, Restorative Practices, PBIS, teacher learning communities, data analysis and application, and ongoing literacy and mathematics collaboration. Student goals include rigorous academic and transferable skill development aligned with Rutland City Public Schools’ Portrait of a Graduate.
Applicants must demonstrate experience in leadership, an impressive work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of current research and practice related to teaching and learning, proven experience in motivating colleagues as well as students to maximize their potential, and licensure, or eligibility for same, as a Vermont Principal.
