As a Front Office Assistant, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, providing a warm and welcoming experience. You will be responsible for registering patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and ensuring accurate billing and records. You will also provide excellent communication and customer service skills, handling multiple phone calls and face-to-face conversations with ease.
Responsibilities
* Register patients with complete demographic, insurance, and clinical information
* Collect co-payments and other payments at point of service
* Provide accurate and timely information to patients regarding their clinic visits, diagnostic testing, or procedures
* Communicate effectively with patients and families, addressing concerns and answering questions
* Assist clinical staff as needed with clerical duties and other tasks
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient demographics and insurance information
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 2 years of secretarial experience or medical office training, including 1 year of patient or customer service experience
* Experience using a computerized health information system
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong knowledge of basic computer skills
* Moderate knowledge of medical terminology
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Pay Information
$15.80 - $23.46 per hour
