5th-grade Math and Science Teacher

Rutland Town School seeks a 1.0 FTE teacher for 5th-grade Math and Science. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes; Knowledge of elementary and middle school research based best practices Knowledge of the Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards Knowledge and experience of integrating Vermont Proficiencies Knowledge of proficiency based reporting Evidence of integrating technology into the learning environment Experience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning Community Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction Evidence of strong connection with students and families Experience with Bridges is preferred Strong communication skills as evidenced through a quality application Ongoing educational training The belief that educators ensure learning at a high level for every child and that developing positive relationships is equally important Experience with project-based learning Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License Ability to collaborate effectively across contents and across grade levels Rutland Town School is a Pre-K-8 school with 352 students.
