Rutledge Claims Management, Inc. ("RCM"), a leader in the hazard claims industry, has an immediate opening for a professional, enthusiastic and detail oriented Clerical Assistant/Document Specialist. This full-time, entry level position offers remote work for California residents, with approximate work hours of Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.; hours are subject to change based upon the firm's business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review Broker Price Options (BPO's), Appraisal Price Opinion (APO's), Damage Referrals and other information to identify whether to file an insurance claim.
- Collect additional information and update the company's database accurately and timely with property insurance, inspection reports, and other information required to facilitate further review of the damage by others.
- Update client platforms and systems as authorized by the client.
- Provide administrative support to the claims units.
- Heavy data entry.
- Attention to detail
- Eager to learn and grasp concepts quickly.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Job duties are subject to change based upon the firm?s business needs.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft software programs and standard office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, etc.
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm.
- Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
- Ability to meet deadlines (while under stress) as well as someone who can manage their time well and seek out other work during slow times.
- Ability to work at least eight hours a day from home . Must have access to a functional computer (laptop or desktop) for work purposes
- Candidates must have the ability to stay focused and work with a high degree of speed and accuracy.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Some college courses, preferred.
- Experience in an office, and/or customer service environment, preferred.
Salary:
- The salary for the Document Specialist position is: $19.25 per hour.
