The Emergency Services Manager will lead, manage, and hold accountable all employees in the Emergency Services Department. The position will develop, create, and maintain all systems and processes to support growth for the department. The manager will work directly with the Emergency Services Coordinator and team of Mitigation Technicians and Lead Technicians to accomplish all short-term and long-term goals assigned to the Emergency Services Department with clear and consistent communication, strong attention to details, and persistent follow-up.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including knowledge and use of proper grammar
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office, Xactimate, DocuSketch and MICA
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple people and projects simultaneously while working under deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively with all RVAR team members and departments
• Convey a positive image of RVAR in accordance with company policies and Core Values
• A positive attitude and professional manner with a self-driven, can-do approach to work
• Motivational and leadership skills with a track record of personal development
• Minimum 2-years experience in emergency services as Lead Technician or equivalent
• A current driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Excellent knowledge of mitigation and construction processes and equipment
• IICRC Certification in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Microbial Restoration, and at least one of the following: Fire and Smoke Remediation, Trauma & Crime Scene Cleaning, Commercial Drying Specialist or Applied Structural Drying

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all daily operations of the Emergency Services Department
• Conduct performance reviews and hold staff members accountable to RVAR standards
• Guide employees and leadership within the department through their development to achieve clear goals
• Daily observation, analysis, and adjustments to workflow in order to improve operations
• Assist in development and enforcement of all safety processes related to the production of jobs
• Oversee detailed training and continuing education process that supports onboarding of new hires
• Write, edit, and send estimates for mitigation work
• Maximize efficiency of mitigation, demolition, drying and documentation processes to meet or exceed industry standards
• Manage distribution and create accountability around maintaining vehicles and equipment in conditions for peak performance
• Ensure safety standards are constantly being followed at all projects
• Maintain regular and effective communication with the ES coordinator and field leadership positions
• Respond to inquiries and feedback from staff and all interested parties
• Review and schedule production of assigned projects as well as inspect and provide feedback on potential projects
• Optimize productivity and disbursement of personnel and equipment at each project
• Audit projects for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy by performing quality assurance inspections
• Adhere to IICRC guidelines for mitigation, demolition, drying and documentation processes
• Mentor, train, educate and develop technicians’ skills and abilities in the field
