The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for onboarding, offboarding, addressing issues raised by current employees and new hires, organizing and scheduling orientations, and coordinating other HR functions such auditing and reporting. The Human Resources Coordinator will oversee issues related to employment, compensation, and employee relations. The Human Resources Coordinator will also be focused on improving HR policies, processes, and practices and recommending changes to HR management. To ensure efficient operations, the HR Coordinator will perform a substantial amount of research, data analysis, and reporting as it relates to employee productivity.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain all current and previous employee personnel files including creating new hire files, processing terminated employee files and ongoing filing of all necessary documentation.
- Support onboarding efforts including background checks, orientation, and record keeping including tracking trainings and performance evaluations.
- Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Conduct quarterly file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
- Ensure all I-9 verifications, background and reference checks are completed; Maintain I-9 files
- Coordinates all information, reporting and activity for Workers Compensation and Unemployment claims and benefits for employees.
- Assist with benefit open enrollment and ongoing processes.
- Maintains compliance with State and Federal HR related regulations and legislation, while supporting the agencys mission.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations and postings.
- Provides support of Employee Handbook and personnel policies.
- Assist with HR related staff events including Staff Appreciation Day and Agency wide meetings and birthday acknowledgements.
- Maintains employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Coordinates all FMLA and any other leave requests and documentation.
- Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the Director of HR.
- Makes photocopies; mail, scan, file and email document; and perform other clerical functions.
- Assist or prepare correspondence as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
