Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will oversee and manage the successful processing of the company’s Accounts Payable functions.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours/week. Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: $23 - $25/hour

Essential duties and Responsibilities

• Receives, reviews, and processes vendor invoices and employee expenses for data entry and payments within very tight deadlines.
• Provides accurate and detailed reports regarding bills and invoices.
• Maintain Vendor Files
• Completes assigned work and responds to requests for information using various software applications and accounting systems.
• Reviews statements and other reports to ensure completeness of Open Invoices
• Performs accounting duties related to accounts payable and purchasing/inventory.
• Adheres to internal policies and controls
• Monitor and process Company Credit Cards
• Prioritizes weekly payment disbursement processing and resolves any vendor or employee concerns.
• Communicates and collaborates with other departments.
• Communicates and collaborates with Vendors to resolve issues and build a positive working relationship
• Maintains the ability to multitask and manage responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate with Staff Accountant to maintain records for Sales Folders
• Performs Ad hoc reporting as necessary.
• Performs any other jobrelated duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Controller

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

• 1 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel but also Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Able to set priorities, plan, and organize.
• Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear.
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

• Associate's degree in accounting or finance related field.
• Experience working with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
