Role Overview
The Research Analyst is a motivated and detail-oriented individual who will contribute to the security selection process for the firm’s internal stock strategies. This role is also responsible for contributing to, and sometimes leading, projects for the senior investment committee and assisting client-facing colleagues with information and client requests.
Responsibilities
- Work with research team to monitor existing holdings and generate new ideas, including direct responsibility for individual equities within the portfolios.
- Perform fundamental, technical, and macro analysis on securities for current and potential portfolio investments.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and communicate (both verbally and in writing) in clear and succinct manner.
- Coordinate and disseminate investment and performance information to the research team and overall organization.
- Research ad hoc projects as requested by the senior investment committee.
- Present investment topics at the IC meetings.
- Provide support to client facing team with individual stock questions or other ad hoc requests.
- Actively participate in the investment conversation—particularly, at the weekly investment team meetings.
- Update and maintain reports and proprietary tools that are part of the research team’s investment process.
- Propose trade ideas to portfolio managers.
- Attend client events.
- Develop new research tools.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00. Final base compensation will be carefully determined based on several factors including relevant knowledge, skillset, and experience. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as discretionary bonus, health, dental, and vision plans, and employer 401(k) contributions.
