ONLY UNDERGRADUATES currently enrolled for Fall 2025 semester. MUST be able to work a full-time schedule (40 hours / week).
Description
Under the guidance of the Controller this role will be required to work in a team environment to support the Accounting Department. Supports various roles and performs work that includes verification of proper paperwork, accurately billing of customer invoices, accurate payment of carrier invoices, contacting customers via email and / or telephone to secure payment information, and any other carrier and billing issues as needed.
Duties and responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to :
- Runs reports, scan files, and verify load paperwork or billing input for accuracy.
- Recognizes improper billing through research and document results of search, then process applicable corrections for review by management.
- Audits carrier statements and handles carrier phone calls as it regards past due payments as well as potential address charges for carriers.
- Processes customer and / or carrier invoices with appropriate general ledger pay types.
- Builds working relationships with internal departments, carriers, and customers to resolve invoice disputes in a timely manner.
- Communicates with the Accountant or Controller regarding any billing or payable issues.
- Assists with customer and carrier issues as needed.
- Assists the Controller and other members of the Accounting team as requested.
- Other duties as required and assigned
