What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bed Board Controller, Logistics position at RWJ Barnabas?
RWJBH is seeking a Bed Board Controller for our Logistics Department at the New Brunswick campus. This is a part-time, night position (24 hours/week).
Requirements/Qualifications:
* Assign rooms to patients by checking physician service and diagnosis.
* Works closely with all floors throughout hospital to ensure patient flow.
* Proficiency in Registration and Census and Bed Management.
* Demonstrates precise documentation: Asks questions, records required information.
* Communication skills; must practice culture of kindness, maintain a positive rapport and cooperative working relationship with all patients, guests, physicians, physicians offices and fellow RWJBH employees.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnoses (highly recommended).
* Computer proficiency (highly recommended).
* High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
