RWJBH is seeking a full-time Director of Food and Nutrition. This is a full-time position within Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick.
The position directs the planning and oversees the daily operations of the food and nutrition department; coordinates other activities with other functions and participates in other organizational activities, establish and maintain high levels of quality and satisfaction in both clinical nutrition and food services. Ensure that department is following all applicable policies, laws and regulations.
Job Functions:
- Determines quality, food specifications and quality of food required to plan menus and maintain food cost controls in compliance with budgetary parameters
- Collaborates with the management team and clinical nutritionists to meet regulatory requirements
- Inspects and maintains high levels of sanitation in the kitchen and cafeteria and promotes the safe handling of food and supplies to ensure patient and employee food safety
- Proactively engages in process improvement including patient and customer satisfaction and cost reductions strategies in both patient and non-patient services
- Develops and implements action plans that support the hospital s mission
- Reviews reports and interprets data regarding regular and therapeutic diets, nutritional and caloric analysis of meals, cost of raw food and labor, computation of daily food costs and inventory
Education/Certification:
Bachelor s degree or advanced degree from an accredited institution, or certification, with major in food, nutrition, or food service management or administration,
NJ Certification in ServeSafe,
