We are looking for a General Manager to join our growing team. The General Manager will lead operations to ensure the production and marketing of company services align with customer needs and corporate goals, all while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality standards. This role requires effective management of personnel, equipment, and materials.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with customers and sales teams to ensure operational alignment with client requirements.
- Seek and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency in heat treating.
- Lead cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and meet production targets.
- Set and evaluate short- and long-term goals for the facility.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance.
- Cultivate a workplace culture that emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and accountability.
- Develop and manage budgets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and strategic objectives.
- Identify and develop new materials to enhance company services, and assess needs for new or modified equipment.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings to review production, quality, sales, maintenance, financial performance, and customer priorities.
- Be involved in union grievance procedures and contract negotiations.
- Mentor and develop management personnel, while coordinating the efforts of all team members.
- Prepare and periodically present company status reports to the President, including making necessary sales calls and attending industry seminars and meetings.
