Job Description:
We are looking for a Project Manager (PM) with a strong background in leading cross-functional scientific and technical teams across project lifecycle phases – from initiation to closure. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a regulated and collaborative environment.
You’ll be responsible for project planning, risk management, budgeting, reporting, and facilitating cross-functional alignment to drive business and scientific objectives. Experience in the medical products or life sciences industry is strongly preferred.
- Lead cross-functional teams through project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, risk registers, budgets, and status reports.
- Drive timely resolution of complex problems, including technical and resource planning.
- Act as the single point of accountability for project performance, schedule, and budget.
- Prepare and present executive-level updates, metrics, and stakeholder communications.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and conflicts.
- Collaborate across global or multi-site teams ensuring alignment with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., GMP, GLP).
- Apply standard project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., PMBOK).
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline; MS or MBA preferred.
- 5 years of project/program management experience, including 3-4 years in medical products, life sciences, or regulated industries.
- Proven ability to lead multi-site or global programs with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, product development processes, and regulatory environments.
- Experience in executive-level reporting and presentations.
- Strong financial acumen; capable of managing budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Proficiency in MS Project and other PM tools (e.g., Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence).
- PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with EU MDR is a plus.
