This role offers relocation assistance to Richmond, VA and must be performed onsite full time. Remote or Hybrid candidates will not be considered. As a Director, Operations in Brokerage at RXO, you will provide leadership for our brokerage products, act as the functional lead for strategic development within the overall market and enhance and grow new business opportunities with established customers. What your day-to-day will look like :
- Direct and manage all brokerage services within the branch, including but not limited to, full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and intermodal operations.
- Drive revenue growth by developing new customer relationships and supporting Sales in onboarding new clients.
- Oversee branch financial performance, including P&L management, budgeting, and cost control, to meet or exceed profitability targets.
- Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with all laws, regulations, and company processes.
- Maintain strong carrier and vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with pricing, service standards, and RXO's strategic goals.
- Lead and develop sales and operations teams to meet individual and branch KPIs.
- Analyze performance metrics and implement data-driven decisions to optimize operations and enhance profitability.
- Develop and implement new product and service offerings in response to customer needs. What you’ll need to excel : At a minimum, you’ll need :
- 7 years of experience in a 3PL or freight brokerage environment, with a strong background in transportation logistics. It’d be great if you also have :
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in transportation management, including freight brokerage operations
- Expertise in P&L management, budgeting, and financial oversight
- Proven leadership in managing sales, operations, and administrative teams.
- Strong track record in driving revenue growth and meeting profitability targets.
