The Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs Lead manages facility environmental programs to ensure compliance with current and emerging regulatory requirements. They support facility operational and strategic flexibility through regulatory coordination and permitting. This role evaluates environmental engineering operational practices and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for performance and cost improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluates existing systems and practices affecting environmental costs and compliance, and recommends appropriate actions.
- Manages facility response to corporate environmental oversight activities and initiatives.
- Represents the facility through participation in various industry associations, governmental, and public committees, working groups, and boards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required. Pulp and Paper degree is preferred.
- Minimum ten years' experience in pulp and paper manufacturing operations as an Environmental Manager.
- Advanced abilities to plan, implement, and manage change in a variety of settings.
