Construction Laborer

Job Summary: A Construction Laborer is responsible for performing various manual labor tasks to support construction projects. They work under the supervision of skilled tradespeople and assist with activities such as site preparation, material handling, equipment operation, and general site cleanup.

Responsibilities:

1. Site Preparation:

• Assist in preparing construction by clearing debris, removing obstacles, and leveling the ground
• Set up and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolding and barriers

2. Material Handling:

• Load and unload construction materials and equipment, including lumber, steel, concrete, and tools
• Transport materials and tools to different areas of the construction site as needed

3. Equipment Assistance:

• Assist heavy equipment operators by guiding them when they are operating machinery
• Perform minor maintenance tasks on equipment, such as refueling and cleaning

4. Concrete Work:

• Assist in concrete pouring and finishing tasks, including carrying buckets of concrete, placing and spreading concrete, and using hand tools for finishing

5. Demolition:

• Participate in demolition activities by using hand tools and equipment to dismantle structures or remove unwanted materials

6. Communication:

• Maintain open and effective communication with supervisors, fellow workers, and other construction team members
• Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment issues promptly
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
• Driver's License Preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects, operate hand and power tools, and use equipment safely
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and experienced workers
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

Salary: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
