Crane Operator - McDowell County, NC - Lake Tahoma

Position Summary:

A successful candidate for a crane operator position should have experience working with cranes on construction sites and industrial sites. Experience in maintaining and doing pre-operating checks on cranes is also a must. Crane operators should be able to interpret drawings, blueprints or designs for a project. They also must have experience working as part of a team while maintaining a safe working environment.

The project will run 24 hours per day, operating on two shifts, seven days a week, with an expected completion date of June 30, 2025.

We will need an immediate workforce of 45 people starting on March 21, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical knowledge of how to properly use equipment needed for the job.
• Expert knowledge of the types of materials being moved, placed, loaded or unloaded.
• Excellent oral communication skills with close attention to detail.
• Knowledge of how to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, designs
• Understanding of how to conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and how to maintain them.
• Understanding of all safety requirements for the job site.

Qualifications:

· Industrial Crane Operation Certification / Course Work is required

· Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

· Active DL and clean driving record is required

· Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and safety procedures

· Physical fitness and stamina to work in demanding outdoor conditions and ability to drive under pressure for extended periods.

· Must be able to bend, lift, stretch according to site requirements.

· Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

· Forklift experience a plus, but not a requirement

· Experience in handling building materials.

· Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs

· Ability to work on feet for 8-10 hours with repeated bending, crouching, and kneeling

Pay: $30 - $35/Hourly
