Provide OB/GYN patient care in an outpatient setting to a panel of women and, be responsible for the evaluation and management of care according to the accepted practice protocols of Ryan Health. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of the Ryan Health.

Position Overview
Provide OB/GYN patient care in an outpatient setting to a panel of women and, be responsible for the evaluation and management of care according to the accepted practice protocols of Ryan Health. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of the Ryan Health.
Essential Functions
- Provide Prenatal Care and Gynecological services for Ryan patients including examinations, diagnoses and treatment.
- Initiate, educate, and provide methods of contraception to Family Planning, Post-Partum and GYN patients.
- Perform procedures such as but not limited to Colposcopy, Intrauterine device insertion and removal, Vulvar and endometrial biopsies, Loop excision electrocoagulation procedures (LEEP)
- Order appropriate laboratory tests; review laboratory tests on a timely basis, and follow-up according to appropriate OB/GYN protocols. At visits, be aware of any variations or deviations from the norm, and consult/collaborate with the physician, as needed. Refer all high-risk patients for physician evaluation.
- Participate in on-call rotation from answering service and document calls appropriately.
- Participate in peer review activities and other Quality Improvement
- Attend Department/Center meetings as required.
- Maintain professional competence by attending professional conferences, in-services, seminars, and other educational sessions, as requested.
- Immediately report any problems and/or unusual occurrences to supervisor.
- Must demonstrate a professional, courteous and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, immediate supervisor and other employees.
- Practice accepted infection control measures in accordance with the OSHA Blood borne pathogens standards and Center policies and procedures.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- 1-2 years of experience in Ambulatory Care Setting and/or Community Health Care.
- Must be a graduate of accredited program for Physician Assistant Studies
- Current New York State License to practice
- Master’s Degree Physician Assistant Studies
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C) is required;
- DEA certificate;
- Infection and CPR/Basic Life Support certifications
