As a landscape project manager, you manage a talented team that helps bring beautiful, functional landscape designs to life.
Responsibilities of a Project Manager:
- Assists the Department Manager with organization, scheduling, customer walkthroughs, locates, customer communication/follow up, crew setup, and quality control.
- Overseeing landscape crews doing varying tasks as directed, including plantings, lighting, drainage, retaining walls, concrete, and other hardscaping.
- Responsible for coordinating up to 5 crews of 2 or more associates to maximize efficiencies as well as train and develop the skills of the team.
- Prepare equipment for crews at the beginning and end of each day.
- Interact with clients on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services needed and services performed. Post project walkthroughs will be completed to ensure work is completed in full, customer understands care instructions and warranty info, and to ensure customer is satisfied with the final product
- Use our project management software to organize crews, order materials, job costing, and do final walkthroughs with customers.
- Assist department manager in the strategic planning process to establish financial metrics in alignment with company goals. Engage team for buy-in and maintain accountability of financial-based goals for the department to ensure success of the branch/company.
- Assist leadership team in recruiting and retention.
- Responsible for coaching team members to develop skills, efficiency, and knowledge. Help ensure all team members are equipped with tools, resources, and required training to accurately meet the service demands of our customers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in project management, landscape experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in construction management is preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT certification
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day or more
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
- Safely operates all equipment and power tools associated with the department.
- Proficient with Microsoft and Google software platforms
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, internally and externally
