Job Summary:
RYCO Excavating, Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead and oversee excavation and site development projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of progressive leadership experience in excavating and site work, a strong understanding of job site operations, and the ability to effectively manage a crew of operators and laborers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Perform site layout with GPS (Topcon)
- Lead and manage a crew of operators and laborers, delegating tasks and providing hands-on guidance.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed and ensure proper use and maintenance of machinery.
- Read and interpret site plans, and specifications.
- Enforce safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety on-site.
- Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Track project progress, material usage, and labor hours, reporting updates to management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow.
Qualifications:
- Valid 2A Hoisting License.
- 5-8 years of progressive leadership experience in excavating and site work.
- Proven experience managing a crew of operators and laborers.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utility, and site preparation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and specifications
- GPS Experience with Topcon
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
