Ryder is currently hiring a skilled Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating sit-down forklifts and other equipment to efficiently manage warehouse operations.
About the Job
We offer competitive hourly pay of $17.50, with overtime pay at $26.25 per hour. Additionally, you can earn shift premium pay of $1.00 per hour. Our B Shift schedule runs from Sunday to Tuesday (6:00pm-6:00am) and Wednesday (6:00pm-12:00am).
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Forklift Operator, your duties will include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. You must perform these tasks within the performance measurement guidelines of our contract. You will also be responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks. Furthermore, you will handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment, including picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience. A valid Forklift Operator's License is mandatory. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must be highly thorough and dependable, punctual, and have a good attendance record. Your ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods is also required.
