Rytech Restoration of the Upstate is excited to be expanding our in-house mitigation team, offering water damage drying, fire damage mitigation, and mold remediation services to our local community. We are seeking a dedicated Restoration Technician to join our team. If you have experience in the restoration industry and possess knowledge of various restoration techniques, including water damage restoration, fire restoration, and mold remediation, we want to hear from you!

Job Overview: As a Senior Lead Technician, you will coordinate, control, and perform work activities on restoration projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience. As the front-line representative of Rytech Restoration of the Upstate, you will demonstrate the company’s commitment to leading every customer to the best possible outcome. You will also acquire valuable leadership skills by mentoring and overseeing jobs/projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial assessment of water/smoke/fire damage in buildings and completion of any mitigation-related tasks.
  • Working as part of the emergency after-hours response team.
  • Training and mentoring new technicians.
  • Handling industrial restoration equipment.
  • Loading/unloading work trucks at headquarters with equipment and driving to/from job sites.
  • Overseeing production processes as scheduled and communicated.
  • Photographing all affected areas, drying equipment, work from beginning to completion, and moisture readings.
  • Utilizing online software (MICA) to track jobs both internally and externally with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and any other applicable parties.
  • Cleaning and deodorizing walls, floors, and building contents.
  • Performing demolition and repair work as required.
  • Setting up containments after industry standards.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and vehicles.
  • Managing the customer and client experience.
  • Ensuring the company consistently passes environmental clearance tests.
  • Completing all tracking properly on every job.
  • Identifying safety hazards, communicating, and establishing control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and coworkers.
  • Following and overseeing safe work practices and adhering to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of demonstrated success in disaster restoration or a related industry.
  • WRT, FSRT, ASD, AMRT, or other IICRC certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Clean background check.
  • Outgoing and engaging personality.
  • Open-minded and willing to learn and evolve.
  • Able to follow instructions and teach others.
  • Desire to make a positive impact on the firm, clients, and communities.
  • Friendly and outgoing, looking to make a difference.
  • Team player.
  • Effective written and oral communication in English with basic math and computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces.
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
  • Being part of an on-call rotation schedule is to be expected (rotating emergency response on nights and weekends).

Benefits:

  • 40 hours paid time off after 6 months of employment. An additional 40 hours paid time off after 1 year.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
