Job Summary: Rytech Restoration of the Midlands is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mitigation Manager to oversee restoration projects and ensure operational efficiency. The Mitigation Manager will be responsible for managing water and fire damage crews, ensuring quality control, and training technicians to meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee water damage crews to ensure quality control, efficiency, and profitability.
- Conduct initial assessments of residential and commercial water-damaged projects.
- Handle industrial restoration equipment and ensure proper usage.
- Maintain Rytech’s standard of delivering premier restoration services.
- Sign and scope jobs as needed.
- Develop and train technicians, including performance evaluations and coaching.
- Foster a positive work environment and maintain a positive company culture.
- Coordinate daily scheduling of assignments and create on-call schedules.
- Work with the executive team to account for job costs and invoicing.
- Manage subcontractors and temporary labor for efficient job completion.
- Read and interpret Xactimate estimates.
- Implement standard operating procedures within the office.
- Lead internal training programs for mitigation project managers and technicians.
- Ensure the company consistently passes environmental clearance tests.
- Identify safety hazards and establish control measures.
- Ensure technicians’ safety in the field and warehouse, including OSHA compliance and PPE usage.
- Follow and oversee safe work practices and adhere to safety guidelines.
Leadership and Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of fire, water, and mold mitigation teams.
- Ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training to technicians on industry standards and best practices.
- Develop training programs for new hires and continuous education for current staff.
- Encourage professional development and certification (e.g., IICRC certifications).
Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of service.
- Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Address any issues or deficiencies promptly to maintain service excellence.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources efficiently, including equipment, materials, and personnel.
- Maintain an inventory of necessary tools and supplies.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- Identify potential hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
Customer Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Provide clear communication and updates to clients throughout the project.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues professionally.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mitigation projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
- Utilize project management software (e.g., Xactimate) to track progress and manage documentation.
Financial Oversight:
- Monitor project costs and ensure financial efficiency.
- Work with the executive team to prepare budgets and financial reports.
- Ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment collection.

Requirements:
- 3 years of management experience in the restoration industry.
- Proven track record in team building and leadership.
- Exceptional organizational and planning abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing challenges effectively.
- Familiarity with MICA, Xactimate, and iSolve software is a plus.
Certifications Required and Preferred:
- IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT): Essential for water mitigation and restoration
- IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD): Important for advanced water mitigation techniques
- IICRC Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT): Necessary for fire mitigation and restoration
- IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT): Required for mold remediation
Physical Demands:
- Lifting files, bending, standing, and operating office equipment.
- Background check required as per applicable laws.
