Lifeguard Responsibilities

As a lifeguard with S.A.F. Guarding, your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the safety of all patrons in and around the Lagoon area.
• Enforcing facility rules to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Wearing proper uniform, including all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Administering lifesaving care, including CPR, AED, and First Aid
• Conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times.
• Performing secondary duties when not on lifeguard stand.
• Maintaining current Lifeguarding, CPR, and First-Aid certifications.
• Keeping the pool area clean by picking up debris.
• Ensuring all opening and closing procedures are completed.

Qualifications

• Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguarding (Shallow Water) certification, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
• Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues effectively.
• Experience in pool maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor for guest interactions.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or swimming.
• Previous experience in guest services is a plus.
