What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at S&A Industries?
Responsibilities:
· Coordinates priorities/activities for production. Assigns duties based on these priorities and the weekly Production Plan. Communicates daily specific work cell priorities to off shifts.
· Interprets and enforces company policies to all employees. Responsible for the safety and following safety procedures of your subordinates on your shift.
· Inspects product to verify conformance to specification and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
· Recommends measures/ideas to improve all phases of safety, quality and productivity. Ensures productivity standards are met. Discusses and reviews daily with employees.
· Ensures production and scrap record keeping is accurate and submitted daily and entered into IQMS at the end of each shift.
· Effectively trains employees or ensures that any subordinate training someone is done effectively. Keeps training matrix updated.
· Set up and ensures that FIFO is being maintained with all materials and components.
· Ensures housekeeping is maintained and all housekeeping aids are in their proper location
(6s).
· Monitor Layered Process Audits (LPA) to confirm daily checklists are completed.
· Maintains ADP payroll and reviews point/occurrence for employees are maintained and attendance warnings are given.
· Provides discipline to employees by following procedures established in company handbook.
· Consult with Production Control Manager on all disciplinary actions.
· Empowered to make final quality decision of product/process in the absence of quality Dept. Personnel
· Perform PF2 Slitter operations and monitor inventory levels to keep presses stocked with material.

· Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected

Preferred Qualifications:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or draw and interpret bar graphs.
