Under supervision from the Director of Biostatistics, functions as a contract specialist to carry out administrative tasks related to meetings with OGC and bureau leadership. Oversees the organization and compliance of contracts made with the bureau and other entities inside and outside of the agency. Assists with the posting of positions within the bureau.
Attends regularly scheduled meetings between bureau leadership and OGC attorneys to discuss new and existing contracts. Takes notes and executes tasks assigned from the meeting to ensure timely processing of data contract requests. Maintains organized list of active contracts to include at a minimum expiration dates and terms of compliance. Informs bureau leadership and OGC when contracts are due for expiration/renewal. Assists with drafting contract language as needed.
Responsible for receiving and reviewing research and Institutional Review Board (IRB) requests. Maintains accurate and adequate notes on existing tracking spreadsheets and
other documents. Takes notes during Institutional Review Board (IRB) quarterly board meetings. Prepares fee schedules for research requests and sends to finance for invoice
preparation.
Assists with posting the bureau of vital statistics positions utilizing the agencies Applicant Tracking System.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Work or student experience as a research assistant or experience working on and with research projects. Two (2) years experience working in an office setting with various office products such as Word, Excel, PDF, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
Highly prefer bachelor's degree or higher education. Work experience as a paralegal or other equivalent position responsible for creating and interpreting legal contracts.
