SEH America is located in Vancouver, Washington. It is one of 13 Shin-Etsu Handotai Group (SEH) facilities located around the world. SEH is the world-leader in the manufacturing of silicon wafers for the semiconductor industry. In this position we would be looking for an current Engineering student who is available for a part time summer internship 20-30hrs per week. Must be entering Junior or Senior year for fall of 2024
JOB DUTIES:
- Work with engineering group on a variety of process improvement projects.
- Formulate and execute engineering tests.
- Compile, verify, and analyze data and test results using SPC and statistical analysis techniques. May present findings to production, engineering, or support groups.
- Help with tool modification designs to achieve specific function.
- Work with Process Engineers to audit process operating conditions for gaps and then make process improvement recommendations.
- Use Solidworks to make equipment drawings for various projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Progress towards a college degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be a collegiate student Junior/Senior year preferred
- Able to use statistics for data analysis
- Able to effectively present information in written, verbal, and presentation form
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret written documents and reports
- Demonstrated engineering skills
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical writing skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- US Authorization
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience and training on SolidWorks
- Experience and training on CAD
